 Receipes for Disaster

Imagine being without power, water, heat, communications or other essentials.
Don't just survive a disaster, be the one who can adapt in the aftermath and recover!

To do that you need the right equipment, gear and supplies to get through the weeks or months of a major aftermath when you find yourself without power, water, heat or communication.
Find out what works in which conditions, and for how long.
Learn which gear is critical, useful, or a waste of time and money.

This session covers survival/aftermath gear for the 7 essentials, including:
Medical, Shelter, Water, Food, Lighting and Sanitation.
(Protection is a seperate session, as is Power and Communication).

About the Instructor:  TKH has lived off the grid, lived portable and lived without services (power, water, heat, septic, and communication) in both local and remote locations in various situations.
She has seen natural disasters from drought to floods, winter storms to wind storms, -including canoeing in 105 mph wind storm-to a tropical storm, survived a Tsunami, and once hired a chopper to fly "doors- off" around an erupting volcano- but that's a different story for some other time.

She has seen 3rd world countries first hand and understands just what happens when you're at the mercy of others.  TKH brings real world knowledge of how to choose the right gear, and then survive with what you have.  What gear works in which conditions-and for how long- and which gear is critical vs. useful vs. a waste of money when you find yourself without services, trying to keep your family/livestock alive.

Class size is limited.
