Redundant Systems
Dual-BMC 31
Professional measurement technology, includes Rate of Fire
Double measurements:
Under certain circumstances it can become necessary to measure two velocities parallel or sequentially to get demanded data (Information). The following list shows some examples of double measurements, but makes no claim to completeness.
- To make sure that the measurement is correct (backup measurement, reliability, redundancy)
- Important and/or not repeatable measurements
- QM guidelines and/or specifications
- Customers/Contractors wish or specification
- Customer specific test setup, that requires 2 velocities (e.g. before and after a target or a other special given problem)
- Calculationof the ballistic coefficient
- Required by law
- Forensic investigations
In all these cases our measuring systems offer solutions, supported by the miscellaneous possibilities of the BMC 31 software.
The BMC 31 is the newest generation of professional ballistic speed measurement Systems. It is a universal measuring system that combines flexibility, reliability, very high accuracy and very easy to use. The BMC 31 represents 25 years of experience in ballistic measurement.
The BMC 31 was developed for applications which require a maximum independence of a computer. The BMC 31 can store up to 250 measured values in a non-volatile memory. As soon as the system is connected to a computer, the measured values can be transmitted to the computer with the delivered software. With the supplied IR remote control, the BMC 31 can be used with all it's functions completely independent from a computer. Settings of the measuring base, gain, threshold, velocity in m/s or ft/s, sensor check, remote control test, deletion of the last measured values, deletion of the whole series, calculations as: Minimum value, maximum value, average, standard deviation, extreme spread, number of the measurements and and a lot more.
As a matter of course the BMC 31 can also completely be controlled from the PC.
The Possibilities:
Device control via IR remote control or PC-Software.
Single Shot and Full Auto mode measurements
Direct indication of velocity and energy.
Measurement of Rate of Fire via IR Remote control and PC-Software
The BMC 31 has a specially designed hardware, which makes it possible to get measurements without the main processor. This special hardware, together with the digital controlled light screen amplifiers allows the
BMC 31 it's unique accuracy. The extreme precise measurement clock of 40MHz makes a measurement resolution of 0.05m/s at a speed of 1000m/s possible.
Dual-TLSA 100
A highly integrated lightscreen amplifier-controller system

The TLSA 100 is a highly integrated lightscreen amplifier-controller system,
equipped with a easy to use speed measurement system and optimized
for using it together with the Real Time Trigger Systems (RTTS). It
is a ideal and very helpful supplement to these systems. With the infrared
remote control unit the TLSA 100 becomes a very flexible system, that
can be used of course also „only“ as a light screen amplifier.
- Completely controlled by microcontroller
- BNC Input- and output connectors. LS 260 input with special connector
- LS power supply from TLSA-100 possible (LS 260, LS 400)
- Multiple units can be managed with only one infrared remote control unit
- Power supply from 12 Volt battery or AC adapter
- Analog- and digital inputs and outputs
- Activ and passive Light screens can be connected to the TLSA-100
- Polarity of the digital outputs selectable
- Permanent digital Light screen regulation when passiv light screen is connected.
- Gain and Threshold adjustment with the infrared remote control unit
- Buzzer with adjustable frequency
- Display contrast adjustable with the infrared remote control unit
- Speed measurement in m/s und f/s possible
- 4,0 MHz speed measurement frequency
- Speed range with 1 meter measuring base: 62 - 2000m/s
- Measuring base adjustment from the infrared remote control unit
- Integrated shot simulator: can be used to test the Real Time Trigger System (RTTS) setup,
- camera exposure and sharpness before the (sometimes expensive) real shot.
- Adjustable simulation time and speed.
